JIL Saskatoon Ministry Updates~

I went to Saskatoon after the Leadership Camp and Meeting at Dallas Valley Ranch Camp, January 24, 2009 while Pastor Romy Cusay to Regina together with the delegates to preach the following day with the theme: "Opportunities in the City!" In the midst of recession God's people are being promoted, many people are coming to work in Saskatchewan. It is God's opportunity that HE is abundantly able to perform extra ordinary things on behalf of HIS people / church. JIL Saskatoon is ... indeed shining as it is what Saskatoon City is known for "Saskatoon Shine!"What a fulfillment of our declaration for 2009 "Year of Overflow!" God is bringing people from different places ... skilled workers ... as nominee under family category and families were united because of the program and serve the Lord together. It is God's way of fulfilling HIS agenda: JIL people and non-JIL came to work and became members of JIL Church, in partnership for the expansion of God's kingdom. JIL Saskatoon is flourishing for JESUS and becoming radical in proclaiming the Gospel to many ... to have fellowship in love and joy... it is "Overflow in the Ministry!"

Zech. 1:17 '"Proclaim further: This is what the Lord Almighty says: 'My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem."

JIL Saskatoon is becoming a family church: Sis. Vangie is the worship leader while her son "Tom" is the drummer.Tom is one of the youngest drummers in our area - if not in JIL Canada. Just five (5) months in JIL Canada Saskatoon - went into training and now ... he is one of the best!
In the ministry - everyone is welcome... join now and be a servant of the Most High God!
We are believing...with our declaration that this year 2009: JIL Saskatoon will celebrate their
1st Church Anniversary. Praise the Lord!
Talk to all of you soon...God's best~

~Lead for a Greater Cost~ Posted by Dranreb Lucero - WAM Head of JIL Regina, SK

The Leadership Camp held in Dallas Valley, SK last January 24,2009 was a great success. One of the most compelling lessons I've learned is knowing the value of Leadership and it's role in expanding the Kingdom of God. I came to believe that God has given each individual the unique capacity or potential to "lead". But this potential or ability can only be discovered and tested once you learn to assume responsibility. One of the best example to relate is about the life of Nehemiah. As a plain Cup Bearer to King Artaxerxes he has no vast leadership experience to govern people. But since he carried the burden of uplifting the reputation of Israel he took a bold step to lead in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. Inspite of the risk involved and resistance from the oppositions nothing has deterred his determination from pursuing his plan. He has a heart of a Leader" willing to sacrifice his life, willing to get out of his "comfort zone" for the cause of his people. He was highly favored by God in finding ways to help him start the work. The success of his leadership was attributed by his dedication and hardwork in completting the project in a short span of time. If we have the heart and attitude of Nehemiah by learning to dedicate ourselves to take lead of doing God's work, surely He can equip and maximize our potentials for the glory of His name. He will give us strength and power to do things beyond our capabilities to fulfill his purposes in our lives. As (Phil 4:13) says " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"... If Nehemiah can, so can we. Because of God Nehemiah transformed from nobody to somebody". Indeed, apart from God we can do nothing (John 15:5). By believing in yourself and giving our full confidence in God we can make a difference, we can become succesful leaders. Without sacrifices in facing the challenges of life there will be no fruit of our labor. So as Jesus Christ has sacrificed his life on the cross of calvary, it paid the price of our salvation. Just do your part and God will do the rest. A change of self perspective is needed to become a great "leader". Never underestimate yourself and say you can't do it because of your weakness or shortcomings. Let your weakness be a way for you to learn, grow and become effective as you can be. Work out your strength and excel in the field you're good at. That what's make you a great"Leader."Me as a Leader of the Worship minstry I experienced the way God transformed and developed my talents and skills to become effective in my respective field. Being an effective Worship Leader and mentor to the group, I found myself as a blessing to them and they are to me. Besides, I enjoy the privilege of enjoying what am I doing. With what I accomplished in my ministry I believe God has not done with me yet. I'm expecting more from him. I believe with what I am now, it's just the beginning or steps of bringing me to a higher level of commitment, a higher level of calling. An opportunity to "Lead for a greater cost"
